A newsletter is according to the internet dictionary a brief publication containing news and current events, usually geared toward a particular organization or group with common interests. OPAC (Open Public Access Catalog) - A digitized catalog of books, journals, and other materials held in the library. Records are organized by call number and subject headings. Peer-Reviewed Journals - Journals where the quality of the articles is maintained by a review process by experts prior to publication. The article submitted to refereed or peer reviewed journals are examined by one or more people with expertise in the field with which the article deals. The purpose of this is to give some assurance that the information in the article is valid!
